What you need to have ready

To connect your WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook channels, Meta requires your business to have the following:

Business website

An active website with information about your company, products or services. It can be simple but must be online.

Business Portfolio (Meta)

A verified account in Meta Business Suite with your business information: name, address, category and contact details.

WhatsApp Business number

A dedicated phone number for your business (can be new). This number will be connected to the WhatsApp API.

Can your business use WhatsApp API?

Meta's commerce policy prohibits certain business categories. Before starting, verify your business type is not on this list:

Firearms, ammunition and explosives

Drugs and controlled substances

Prescription medications

Gambling and casinos

Unregulated financial services (speculative crypto, predatory loans)

How long does setup take?

The implementation session lasts 1 hour. In that session we connect your WhatsApp Business number and configure the AI bot. In less than 48 hours from when you sign up, you can be receiving messages.

What do I need to have ready before the session?

You need an active business website, a Meta Business Suite account (Business Portfolio) and a phone number for WhatsApp Business. If you don't have all of this, we'll help you prepare it.

Why does Meta require a website and Business Portfolio?

It's a Meta requirement to verify that your business is legitimate before granting access to the WhatsApp Business API, Instagram and Facebook. It's a compliance process, not something we control.

Can I make changes after implementation?

Yes. You can modify the bot, the AI prompt, flows and messages at any time from the EZContact dashboard. If you need help with more complex changes, we have additional consulting available.
